Opening in October - Light, Water, & Care: St. Louis Flora in Watercolor for Barnes Jewish Hospital
I’m excited to announce my upcoming show, “Light, Water, & Care: St. Louis Flora in Watercolor for Barnes-Jewish Hospital”, which explores the human relationship with nature, and especially the value of plants, for our health and wellbeing. Originating with a commission for BJC Health, this body of work expands on the project through a combination of new works, insight into my process, and research related to biophilic design. My hope is that these works will resonate with your sense of home and place, reminding you that humans are nature, too.

Light, Water, & Care:
St. Louis Flora in Watercolor for Barnes-Jewish Hospital
Friday, October 9, 2026
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
The Galleries at Heartland Art Club
101A W. Argonne Dr.
Kirkwood, MO 63122
The show will be on view at The Galleries at Heartland Art Club from October 8, 2026 - January 9, 2027, during regular gallery hours, Wednesday - Saturday, 12 PM - 5 PM.
Four of the paintings created for BJC that will be included in the show. Left to right: “Aster”, “Tall Phlox”, “Daffodils”, and “Robin’s Plantain”. All in watercolor. 10-12” wide x 28” tall.
The show will feature all 34 original paintings I created for BJC Health, which were photographed and reproduced as wall graphics for all (200+) patient rooms in the Plaza West Tower at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. You can read more about the project here.
While those 34 original paintings will not be for sale (they now belong to BJC Health’s collection, along with reproduction rights), I will also have on display 12 new paintings that I created specifically for this exhibit to complement those I made for BJC Health. And, those 12 paintings will be available for sale, along with hand-signed, limited-edition giclee prints of each of the 12!
This is a rare opportunity to view all of these works together; after the show concludes, the 34 originals that I created for BJC Health will be returned to them.
